Relationship with God.

Relationship With the Creator Your sins keep you from having a personal relationship with God. Always remember that everything in your life needs God. It doesn’t matter much what we think as humans. God is the only God. If we believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, then we have to believe what it says about God. “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth by their unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18). In the previous verse, we see that the wrath of God is no joke. Godless nations will not last. What does this mean? It means we have to know God. We have to love Him in our hearts. Going through the motions is not the same as a genuine heart. Godless nations have no relationship with God. They do as they wish and praise themselves; therefore, accountability rests within the confines of a Godless nation. We should be searching to know God. John 10:10 tells us that Christ came that we might have life and have it in abundance. A relationship with a loving God is vital in all we do, think, and perceive. Although some people would like you to believe that serving God is not in style or too submissive, they are wrong. They are wrong because we choose whether or not we follow the Lord. It’s a choice. Seek God — not with human emotions, but with an open heart. The people who lived during the times when the Bible was written had the same emotions and feelings that we do. Through Jesus Christ we may be made whole. “I do not know, O Lord, that a man’s way is not in himself; nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps” (Jeremiah 10:23). “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death” (Proverbs 14:12). What proof do you need besides the Bible and that which surrounds us? See the beautiful rivers, valleys, waterfalls, mountains, fields, and the 5.5 billion people populating the earth? Do you hear the wind blow through the trees? There is the proof. These truths, which are revealed to us in the Bible, are learned by seeking God’s Word as well as His ways. From the Book of Genesis through the Book of Revelation, there’s proof of God. See, sometimes we have to make sure we believe in God and His ways. We have to know that when we understand the importance of a relationship with God, we will see change. We strive to please God. In His love, we find His perfection at work. God has laid out salvation for us. God has given us all the choice to have a relationship with Him through the blood of His Son. The “Son” shines bright if you open your eyes and see for yourself. Seek God in a relationship — not in a half-hearted effort but with sincerity. He is just to hear your prayers. You can’t go wrong. If you think that things are so bad in your life that you have nothing to live for, always remember your relationship with God is everything. It’s all that truly matters in the end. But just as it is written, “Things that no eye has seen, or ear heard, or mind imagined, are the things God has prepared for those who love him. God has revealed these to us by the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So, too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God” (Christianpost.com). “Because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes, His eternal power, and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:19-20). Yet, we are still left to speculate about what He demands of us and how we should behave in order to please Him. Nature cannot tell us these things. If we look in the Bible, we will find all the knowledge that has been given to us to know of His character and His will for us. Our hearts are crying out for a relationship with God. Don’t believe me? Why do we all have this desire to make sense of everything in our lives? This soul searching and yearning doesn’t exist by mistake. God wants us to be in a relationship with Him. He will not force us. The reason God will not force us is because He gave us a choice, a choice to decide. Yet, if we search everywhere we stop at a dead end. With God however, we find eternity, comfort, peace, reconciliation, salvation, and mercy! By: J.Cyr, D.C.A (C) 2009
