Cliven Bundy claims ancestral rights to the land he grazes on. However, that has now been debunked. Bundy's parents bought a 160 acre ranch in 1948; however, they did not start grazing until 1954.The BLM started eight years before, he started grazing his cattle.
"The courts have already ruled against 'welfare' rodeo clown, Bundy, as a matter of fact there are several rulings against Mr. Bundy and his continued defiance of the law is biting him on the back.
The right throws Hary Reid into the mix claiming he is somehow involved in this, however, this is not true. The solar project was scrapped in 2013, and the site of the land to be used was 200 miles away from Bundy's ranch. That conspiracy the right conjured up rather urgently has been debunked.
Bundy: “I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro ... because they were basically on government subsidy, so now what do they do?” he asked. “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.(2).”
