Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., The outfit speaking up for Christian values, took their contention on contraception to the Supreme Court to protect private businesses from adhering to requirements guaranteeing women contraception; to avoid unwanted pregnancy. I respect their passion in standing up for a cause they believe in; at least I did respect their position, that was until reports surfaced alleging the company invested in contraception 'products' for 401 K investments. One of which includes plan 'B'; or the morning after pill. In other words, Hobby Lobby should not be standing up for "Conservative" values when they, themselves, invest in the very product they want to deny you. Again, Hobby Lobby makes a bigger profit if you have to pay a special "tax" for preventative care.
Now, what's the real idea behind denying you contraceptive coverage? Because Hobby Lobby makes a bigger profit when you buy the product outright, instead of getting preventative care through the Affordable care Act. Insurance companies pay a flat rate for preventative care through the affordable care act. Thus reducing the revenue they, Hobby Lobby, would cash in on if you paid the so-called tax which is another payment, in addition to your primary premium, for contraceptive care. In other words, it is all about money. There you have it, nothing more and very little less.
So, Hobby Lobby is not sticking up for Christian values, rather they are sticking up for the companies 401K's, and using religion and conservatism as a guise for their legal scam. In recently uncovered documents, we get a better sense of who Hobby Lobby really is, of Hobby Lobby's true motives.
"Several of the mutual funds in Hobby Lobby's retirement plan have holdings in companies that manufacture the specific drugs and devices that the Green family, which owns Hobby Lobby, is fighting to keep out of Hobby Lobby's health care policies: the emergency contraceptive pills Plan B and Ella, and copper and hormonal intrauterine devices."
I almost thought this Hobby Lobby would be standing up for Christians. However, that is not the case.
