Right wing terrorist terrorize Americans, in the U.S., more so than any other group of extremist. Since 9/11/2001, 35 people died as a result of right wing terrorism. While Islamist extremist remains a threat in the U.S, only 21 people died since 9/11/2001.The danger from the right wing and Islam extremist both deserve attention.
That is to say, the threats come from both extreme ideologies. Most terrorist groups believe they are doing God's work. However, this is far from the truth. As a matter of fact, it is anything except godly to murder innocent people.
Two weeks ago on Sunday, Glenn Miller shot and killed three people, he thought might be Jews. At the Jewish Community Center, a 14 year old boy and his grandfather were shot dead. A third person was shot dead at a Jewish retirement center in Kansas City. The murders sparked by an extremist view on religion, race, and political persuasion cultivate an illusion of reality. The shooter shouted "Heil Hitler." Thus of course, indicates Miller's motive for the shootings.
"Now let's do the thought experiment in which instead of shouting "Heil Hitler" after he was arrested, the suspect had shouted "Allahu Akbar." Only two days before the first anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings, this simple switch of words would surely have greatly increased the extent and type of coverage the incident received.(2)."
Terrorist groups, no matter what their affiliation happens to be, they need to be taken seriously.
