Muslim women converts to Christianity and is sentenced to death for apostasy.

Despite requests by western embassies for compassion based off religious freedom, a Sudan judge, Abbas Mohammed Al-Khalifa, sentenced a woman, Meriam Yahia Ibrahim Ishag, to hang for apostasy. In other words, she renounced a false religion, Islam, and came to the truth, Christianity. For that, according to Islamic law, she is to be put to death. So much for Islam being a religion of peace. During a time when tolerance should be the norm, we see the opposite take root in Islamic nations. We see the murder of Christians for serving the God that gave His son for them. The enemy, albeit wicked, is viciously attacking Christians in Islamic countries because he knows, they can be killed for the truth. Satan would love for this Christian woman to renounce her Christian faith and return to Islam to appease Muslims. However, she knows the truth now and killing her will not be shameful to her, rather it is a testament to her faithfulness for Christ.

"We gave you three days to recant but you insist on not returning to Islam. I sentence you to be hanged to death," Judge Abbas Mohammed Al-Khalifa told the woman, addressing her by her father's Muslim name, Adraf Al-Hadi Mohammed Abdullah.

"Her Christian name is Meriam Yahia Ibrahim Ishag. Khalifa also sentenced her to 100 lashes for "adultery". Ishag, who rights activists say is pregnant and 27 years old, reacted without emotion when Abbas delivered the verdict at a court in the Khartoum district of Haj Yousef." Earlier in the hearing, an Islamic religious leader spoke with her in the caged dock for about 30 minutes." Then she calmly told the judge: "I am a Christian and I never committed apostasy."
