Obama 'Man of Lawlessness'?

When you hear the term 'lawless' or man of 'lawlessness,' who or what comes to mind? Possibly evil, thugs on the street, thug white supremacist terrorists constructing a "wild west" society with their "must have" gun rights? One might think so. However, recently, people have used President Obama to coin a phrase 'man of lawlessness.' It's not a coincidence they use this term. The 'man of lawlessness' is a Biblical portrayal of the Anti-Christ. Most Conservatives in America are Christian belonging to one denomination, or another.
When they hear 'man of lawlessness,' they know the Biblical context is equated to wickedness. Especially, seeing as they continue to promote this idea as a fact. Yeah, Conservative fear-mongering is at an all time high. And, it is not going anywhere. At-least not anytime soon. Conservatives have demonized President Obama beyond reason or rationale, so the term 'lawless' strikes fear into the average Christian because most church-goers receive a Biblical World View that coincides with the beliefs of their pastor. Of course, this is problematic because not all pastors give reasonable political guidance. In fact, issues arise because some of our pastors views clash with reality. That is to say granted the Bible never changes, and the principles that to live by don't change, the interpretation of the Biblical text within relation to modern society might change. Albeit not changing the unchanging Scriptures. Many folks become confused, and even angry because they get one interpretation from their pastor,  and another from their spiritual journey, meditation and reflection of the Bible.
Since the Scriptures discourage private interpretation people blindly follow the misinformed hateful, destructive mindset. People become hateful of the President, but for all the wrong reasons. Angry that Obama is the Anti-Christ on the path to destroying America, deliberately. For the record, this isn't true, Obama is not trying to destroy America rather he is trying to create opportunity, for you to get into the middle class. Is he perfect or do his policies always go toward scriptural values? Unfortunately, the answer to that question is no. No, however, it should be stressed, Obama isn't a pastor, and he never claimed to be one. We should be wary about 'false prophets' out there cashing in on the ignorance of dumbed down people. So, before we claim an individual is the 'man of lawlessness' let's be sure we're not bearing false witness. You know why I insist people's bias is different for this President? Because George Bush started an illegal war murdering upwards of one million people, that's why I know people aren't supporting honesty.

I gather you'll wonder why I am supporting President Obama. The categorically positive answer is I am not. But there comes a time when enough nonsense is enough. You'll say well just because they called him a 'man of lawlessness'  doesn't mean they're talking about a biblical connotation. After the Gop have pumped their constituents heads full of this nonsense for the past five years, the logical conclusion and reasoning for the average Conservative's arrival at such conclusion is understandable albeit unreasonable. The 'man of lawlessness' insinuation is of the demonizing tone. And it's not about demonizing his policies but rather him as a person. We need to pray for our leaders; instead people call Obama the Anti-Christ. People will even be upset I decided to write this post; however, I am not a racist, and I won't play their games. May God bless President Obama. And, may  God also, bless you.
Here is where Conservatives grabbed the term "Man of lawlessness"
2 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers,1 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness2 is revealed, jthe son of destruction,3 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness mis already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10 and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 Therefore, God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12 in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."(2 Thessalonians 1:1-12).
How quickly they forget, Bush started two illegal wars, tortured folks, gave tax cuts to his friends and crashed the economy, yet he was never referred to as 'lawless' and he was lawless. I wonder why? No, not really.
