No, Baking A Cake For A Gay Wedding Is Not The Same As Enslavement

Likening anything to the horrors of African enslavement in the United States is a stretch. But people equate, white folks, in particular, many things to slavery; especially having to serve gay people. Bakers, florists, & others, who refuse to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple's wedding become right-wing culture war heroes.

Yesterday, a Colorado man's case went before the Supreme Court, where the in a 7-2 narrow scope ruling agreed the plaintiff had been mistreated to some extent; but the court made clear: the ruling is narrow and shouldn't be considered precedent for all claims of religious freedom in the future. This court ruling was specific to this case. Likening anything to the horrors of African enslavement in the United States is a stretch.
